Our Story
Originally from Washington, PA John and Amy Miller raised their family at Central Assembly of God. There they came to enjoy a rich heritage and training under Pastors Ralph and Carol Volpe. During that time they served 28 years as volunteer worship pastors, establishing a rich culture of music and drama presentations.
In 2003 they followed the calling of God to enter full time ministry. John and Amy took a position as Associate Pastors of New Life Worship Center in Weirton, WV. Under the direction of Pastors Bob and Tracey Mazeroski the church began to see incredible growth and multiplication.
In early 2008 the Lord gave John and Amy Miller fresh vision for a dynamic church in Washington, PA. They shared a heart to see a local church in Washington like the amazing one they served in Weirton. After much prayer and wise counsel, it became clear that God was calling them back home to Washington.
In July of 2008, John and Amy were blessed by Pastors Bob and Tracey Mazeroski to plant a church in the Washington area.
In September of 2008, they began holding weekly Bible studies at the Miller home. These meetings began to stir the hearts of people in the area for what was to come. It became more and more clear that God had called this church forth for such a time as this.
The first service was held on January 4, 2009 in the auditorium of Trinity High School. Since that time the Lord has continued to bless and establish what a New Testament church looks like. With the increase of people and vision Life Church is on a journey to see Heaven come to Earth in the city and region of Washington. God is faithful, and we here at Life Church are so excited about the future!
